David Bross is an experienced counselor, negotiator, and litigator with a broad practice focused in the areas of civil rights, criminal defense, and personal injury. He also represents clients involved in contract disputes, insurance claims, cannabis related issues, and certain domestic matters.
David grew up in Kirkwood, MO, graduated from the University of Kansas School of Journalism with a B.S. in Strategic Communications , and earned his law degree from the University of Tulsa College of Law.
While studying at TU Law, David had two internships that uniquely impacted not only his career path, but also his approach to the practice of law. In his second year of law school, he interned at the Tulsa County Public Defender's Office, advocating for the rights of indigent clients charged with felony crimes. The next year, David clerked for the lead trial attorney at a prominent and well respected Tulsa civil rights law firm, where he represented clients in complex civil, criminal, and domestic matters.
After graduation, David Bross was hired on as a full time associate by the firm, and ended up working there for over 10 years, litigating civil rights, personal injury, employment discrimination, criminal, domestic, and insurance cases in state and federal courts all across Oklahoma. This is where he cut his teeth as a litigator, and, more importantly, how he learned that trying cases is an art, not a skill.
When choosing an attorney, experience matters. David is licensed and has practiced in the United States District Courts for the Northern, Eastern and Western Districts in Oklahoma, more than fifty state and municipal courts in Oklahoma, the Muscogee (Creek) Nation District Court, the Osage Nation Tribal Court, and before the Oklahoma Police Pension & Retirement System Board and the Oklahoma Multi-County Grand Jury.
For the last two years, David has been named by his peers to the Oklahoma Super Lawyers Rising Stars list for his successful representation of clients in criminal defense, civil rights, and employment litigation. Each year, only the top 2.5% of Oklahoma lawyers are selected to receive this honor.
David lives in Tulsa with his two sons. He enjoys traveling, live music, lacrosse, and Kansas basketball.
